Features the Highest Concentration of Active S,S Form
SAM-e (S-Adenosyl Methionine) is a chiral molecule and therefore consists of two forms: (S,S) SAM-e and (R,S) SAM-e. The biologically active form is the (S,S) structure.
Vitacost SAM-e is made naturally by microbiological fermentation and then specially processed without solvents to preserve 68-80% (S,S) SAM-e, the highest active level when compared to others.
What Makes Vitacost® SAM-e Superior?
Vitacost stabilized Sam-e is a full 400 mg elemental SAM-e from 800 mg of SAM-e tosylate disulfate per tablet. SAM-e 400 is manufactured under low temperature and low humidity and is enteric coated to ensure a biologically active product.
As a dietary supplement for adults, take 1 tablet up to four times per day or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Tablets should be taken with a glass of water on an empty stomach, in divided doses (for example, 3 hours apart). Do not crush or score tablets.
S-Adenosyl-l-methionine disulfate tosylate, microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol, methacrylic acid copolymer, citric acid, silicon dioxide, vegetable stearic acid, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, triacetin, sodium starch glycolate, modified cellulose gum and riboflavin (color).

Individuals with Parkinson's disease, bipolar disorder or manic depression should not consume SAM-e. Do not exceed four tablets per day. May cause gastrointestinal upset; if you experience discomfort, discontinue use. SAM-e may interact with drugs and dietary supplements that increase levels of serotonin, such as antidepressants, l-tryptophan, and St. John’s wort. Keep out of reach of children.
