What is Melatonin?
Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body, secreted by the pineal gland in response to darkness. Normal production peaks around midnight, with levels gradually tapering off by morning. Melatonin is well documented to be involved in the body’s circadian rhythm and sleep cycle, as well as regulating a variety of body functions. It’s also a powerful antioxidant. The body’s natural production of melatonin is known to decrease with age.
As a dietary supplement for occasional sleeplessness adults 18 years of age and over, take 1 tablet 30 minutes before bedtime or as directed by a healthcare professional. Chew tablet before swallowing.
Sorbitol, sucrose, mannitol, sodium starch glycolate, maltodextrin, vegetable stearic acid, silicon dioxide and natural flavor.
Free of: Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, crustacean shellfish, fish, soy, gluten, titanium dioxide.
Pregnant or lactating women, diabetics, hypoglycemics and people with known medical conditions (including autoimmune and depressive disorders) and/or taking drugs (including tranquilizers and sedatives) should consult with a licensed physician and/or pharmacist prior to taking this supplement. If you take this product, you may sleep for a full 8 hours. You may experience some residual drowsiness. Not for use by those under 18 years of age. Do not take with alcoholic beverages, while operating machinery or while driving a motor vehicle. Keep out of reach of children.
Sealed with an outer shrink wrap film and an inner seal. Do not use if either seal is broken or missing. Keep dry and at room temperature (59º-86ºF [15º-30℃]).
